Does IPC state the 'board shop' is required to perform inspection, or is
it written inspections will be performed?

This new company you're with, how long have they been working with this
assembler? Is the level of quality acceptable to the requirements of
this new company you're with? Are there quality issues you are aware of
with this current assembler that need to be addressed?

Where I'm going with all this is just because company A does not perform
exactly as company B, does not necessarily mean either company has a
higher or lower quality level then the other.

My opinion, become accustomed to your new companies practices or
policies including their current assembler, and then if quality issues
are identified, address them in a manner that would benefit the new
company you are with.

I see all too often people arriving at a new company dragging 'how we
use to do its' with them only to cause themselves much un-needed grief.
