1) There are a number of ways of bussing across the gold fingers to "contain"
the plating voltage, including temporarily soldering a wire across the extreme
inbound edges. I think they are all described in IPC-7721.

If you have tried all these, then...

2) You could try replacing the complete finger instead of replating a
scratched one. Replacement fingers are available which have a gold finish and
are mounted in place with an integral dry film epoxy. Again, it is a standard
IPC-7721 process. These parts are available from several vendors - we supply
the ones from Circuit Technology in MA, USA.
