Here's what's required for Wave Solder machine Preventive Maintenance at our
facility:



This instruction pertains to the safety procedures and preventive
maintenance requirements of the XXXXXXXX wave solder systems.  This is a
Certified Operation.  Proper training, service technician support and
Tactical Lead approval are necessary to perform the preventive maintenance
operations.
NOTE:   OPERATORS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR PROPER PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
WHILE SERVICING AND/OR PERFORMING PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ON WAVE SOLDER
SYSTEMS.

·   Personal Protective Equipment: Approved Respirator, Safety Glasses, Face
Shield, High Temperature Gloves, Rubber / Latex Gloves, Apron, Steel Toe
Shoes.

Hello Technetters:

I'm curious what other companies are doing in the wave solder area for:
eyewear,
smocks, respirators, gloves, etc. when: loading and unloading
boards/fixtures;
de-drossing the solder pot; refilling or cleaning the fluxer area; or any
other
wave solder related tasks.

Any recommendations on style/company of the PPE would be greatly
appreciated.
