Hi Gang,
I've had good results using a digital camera and our Mantis vision system.
Used the same technique as Steveo - focus on an image through the viewer and
shoot.
Examples in Visible (Mantis 1.jpg) and UV (Mantis UV 2.jpg) at
http://www.driveway.com/share?sid=a8f3cb1d.96df8&name=Pictures I could also
get angled shots instead of just top down.
The cross section I posted yesterday was taken with the camera mounted on an
inspection microscope. We use Optimas 6.1 to take measurements. Apologies
for the quality of the pic - I could have played with a bit but not much can
do about the coupon quality. This time it wasn't mine, it was the Ecomet 4
with a Ecomet 2 power head thingie from Buehler.
Hans

Getting his picture is easy, just right click on it and click "save as" and
give it a file name on your desktop. Getting his permission may take longer
since
he hasn't replied yet. I'm more interested in what equipment he used for
the
high contrast surface pictures. Most shops have great equipment for getting
photos of microsections but surface picture equipment is more rare.
