Looks like IPC is doing a good job of filtering out the "'out of office"
autoreplies. The problem appears to be that replies to forum mail
go both to the forum and directly to the originator and the latter are the
ones we receive. If we're going to be away from work and need to set
the auto "out of office" responder, we might remember to take advantage
of the ListServe "Mail/Nomail" commands to temporarily take us off
the forum while we're gone and put us back on when we return.
Details on this command are available @ http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm

Hi!

I'm getting a little narked at the number of automatic "out of office"
messages, in response to anything I contribute to the IPC forums. I
cannot see that these serve any useful purpose other than to help
overload the servers/internet etc. In fact, they are little better than
spam or any other form of canned luncheon meat.

Is there any way they can be filtered out at the IPC server?

Just a thought...

Brian
