Steve,

Try Agilent's HP 4284A LCR meter. It can measure down to 0.01nH. That's what my
company has been using in one of the manufacturing locations. If you find it an
overkill or out of your budget, try the HP 4263B. I never use it but its spec
says it measures down to 10nH. Also, don't forget to buy the right test jig to
zero out the wiring inductance.

Just a reminder. Such low inductance means very low impedance. It poses a
challenge to the LCR meter's internal power supply. Some cheap LCR meters end up
running into overcurrent protection and produce deviated reading. A meter with
higher measuring frequency helps to scale up the impedance for more accurate
measurement.

Subject: [TN] Inductor measuring equipment...

Hi ya'll!

Does anybody know of any inductance measuring equipment that can measure the
inductance down in the 1.0nh range? I can find stuff on the net that go down
to 1.0mh range, but nothing that goes down in the nano-henry range...'scuse
me if I'm asking a dumb question (I know that is a very small amount of
inductance to measure, and I'm not up on that stuff enough to know IF it
actually can be measured...I think it can, but what does it take?) but I
thought I'd ask anyway. I need it to verify what are supposed to be some
1.8nh SMT chip inductors...
