OOPS!!! Fingers typing faster than brain thinking!!

Correction:
It's true that IPC-A-610 revision "B" didn't address single sided
(unsupported hole) boards.
Try IPC-A-610 revision "C" dated January 2000, starting on page 6-17.

Pete

IPC-A-600 is now on Rev. F (November 1999). Rev C is dated March 1978. The
earliest I have is Rev D (August 1989).
The only thing I can find in IPC-A-600F regarding this problem is section
2.10.4 - Annular Ring - Unsupported holes.
Unfortunately, the inside of the annulus is not specifically addressed.

I am looking for acceptable criteria for finished single sided PWC. IPC-600
only seems to cover double sided and multilayer. We have some single sided
boards with copper that was etch back away from the hole about 2 mils. The
boards pass wave solder but I need to make sure that they are acceptable.

Regards

Scott Westheimer
