It could be that the City water is pure enough not to need de-ionising and that your supplier
having verified this has decided that there is no need to stand the cost of a treatment
facility.... if the City water is from melted glaciers,  or the water is pumped straight from
reservoirs in granite mountains this could be true. Of course it could be that he hasn't and his
response will be along the lines of no one else has ever complained, One thing is for sure: he
was the cheapest bidder.
