We do not make PCB's, we make the chemicals that make the PCB's.

I have been to the UK many times on business, and found this out.  Typically,
the gold was electroplated, and was at least 40, and I seem to recall 60
millionths of an inch thick, (1-1.5 microns), and it may have been more, and
yes, it did alloy with the Copper, but it took a long long time to alloy with
that much Gold, and it soldered very well.

So, IF you must put Gold on to Copper, make sure it is REAL thick.
