Just a couple of words ...

There's about 5 variations of this thing still going around.

Big hint that someone is trying to send you one of
these viruses is the extension of the attached file.
The extension is *.vbs where vbs stands for Visual
Basic Script.  Don't open something like that.

I got the thing sent to me, but I managed to open it
without executing it.  For those interested, I merely
opened Notepad, then opened up my input file for mail
and ... viola!  There was the infamous listing of the
ILOVEYOU program complete with the Manila address.
It's about 5 pages long. I copied the header info into
a new message, looked up each of the IP addresses in
the string of places it through before I got it and
sent off the trace to them.  They're more capable than
me in tracing down this stuff, but I figured what the
heck.

I also use this technique with spam so I don't
activate some immediate transfer off to some
website upon opening it.
