We are using a connector from ITT-Cannon with part number 167000-0234.
This is a four leaded PCMCIA plastic connector with Tin/Lead termination
finish on the leads. The problem we have is that the connector pops off
from the board when a very slight force is used, measured is around one
pound, this problem is detected at systems test when plugging the female
connector to initiate the functionally test of the product. We already
checked the oven profile, X-ray the components, measured the Tin/Lead
termination finish thickness and everything seems to be alright. This is
the first time we use this type of connector, before we had metallic PCMCIA
connectors that have big leads on the sides to help the strength of
attachment and  did not have any issues. This current connector we are
using is all plastic with two plastic tabs for alignment, with just the
four leads to hold it. Is anyone using a connector like this?, What would
be the mechanical strength of a solder joint when pull test is performed?
