Hi Barry!

While sitting here eating lunch, I thought I'd search around for you. What I
found was that I couldn't find anything on "Heat Ladders", but I did find
something on what's called "Heat Pipes". Go to:

http://www.electronics-cooling.com/html/1999_may_article2.html

I think both "Heat Ladders" and "Heat Pipes" may be the same thing. It's a
method that is very effective to dissapate heat from an electronic device.
Heat pipes are attractive because they can typically carry 100 or more times
as much heat as an equivalent piece of solid copper.

That electronics-cooling site is pretty good, click on the "Reference" button
on the left side of the page for a ton more articles about thermal
management...

Hope this helps!
