I would like to add my two cents...

It is licensed by Zycon now Hadco now Sanmina...  on a yearly fee basis.

Only the licensees can manufacture the product.

Studies in regards of Overall cost are available. The outcome is that
assembly costs are generally reduced for densely populated boards.
