yep,
Could be lack of cure due to the higher heat mass.  Could try a U.V. bump
also.
Also some mask tend to haze worse than others if not allowed to cool down
prior to washing. We rack panels for one HASL "cycle" prior to washing for
to prevent the same problem on heavy panels.

Subject: [TN] Solder mask post HASL staining


Hi to all,

Has anyone ever dealt with a "water like" staining pattern on solder mask
surfaces processed through HASL?  We suspect the SM cure cycle since
rebaking the boards makes the stains disappear.  The stains seem to be
within the solder mask (Probimer 77) and only appear after the HASL line.
It also seems to hit high heat mass boards worse.
