I've been using .035" dia test points, and this is fine with the 3-4 test
houses I've encountered.  This is for boards that go about 20k/yr.  They
also want .100" center-to-center spacing min, a .125" clearance from board
edge, and another clearance that I don't remember at this time from taller
components.
