Here's my take on popular books about printed circuit board fabrication:
* Well marketed, "Printed Circuit Board Materials Handbook" - Jawitz, ed. published by
McGraw-Hill, has good, but dated information. The most infuriating part is having to
root through it page by page to find something, because the index is so pathetic. Not
the least of it's charms is that some of the chapters are written by generous
contributors to this forum.
* Well marketed, "Printed Circuits Handbook" - Coombs, ed. published by McGraw-Hill,
4th edition has good, basic, but somewhat dated information and a great index.
* Generally, Electrochemical Publications has not kept it's well written and researched
books up-to-date. The MacLeod opus is not a case in point.
