Dave,
I believe the J-STD-001 (Instructor or Operator) certification is
currently for 3 years, with the IPC-A-610 Rev B certification being 18
months. I have just returned from a IPC-A-610 Rev B to Rev C Review Seminar
hosted by Process Sciences Inc and presented by Jennifer Day, co-chair of
the IPC-A-610 committee. She stated that when the new certification program
comes out for Rev C Instructor/Operator (June?), it will move to a 2 year
certification. Just my luck, my brand new -610 Rev B Instructor's cert will
have to be re-cert'd to Rev C in a couple of months....

Subject: [TN] Training expiration

This is for the IPC folks
What was the basis for the 18 month proficiency period for 001 and 610
training?
Can we change the time period longer or shorter with documented
justification?
