It's a truism that people don't appreciate things until they no longer have
them.

I noticed the lack of TechNet messages these past few days. I also noticed about
20 messages asking whether the IPC server was down. Turned out, it was.

Now I don't know why IPC needed a new firewall. But I'm sure everyone out there
is as glad as me to have TechNet back. I think it's great that TechNet IS there
at all, nearly all the time. And we should be grateful to the tech people behind
the scenes (or screens?) who make this possible.
