Hi Paul and all,

Funny I thought I sent this already but it doesn't show up in my 'Sent'
Folder.

Interesting , Hans, does something like Jerry's "foamed silicone [or
whatever elastish] elastomer" gloves exist ?

I'll look into that when I get a free moment. Ha! At present I have
several coating and potting compounds to learn about. The short answer is
yes and how much money do you have to spend?

When you say >proper< ;'m imaging something like stretch seamless goretex:
surgicals sweat .

Yeah, I've got a couple like that. For non-double treat layers we wear a
poly/cotton glove. For wet processing it's either latex or nitrile. For
immersion cleaning with Trans 1,2 Di-Chloroethlyene it's Viton. We've asked
our bio/environmental folks if we could find one, comfortable, for a
majority of the processes.

I have a question <waving hand energetically from the back of the class>.
Does anyone wear gloves while conformal coating? I know it's better to wear
gloves, for you and the assembly but do people do it?

Define proper please (= lint free, breathing, stretch, no seams, hi
temp..??)

Proper gloves for double treat won't allow oils from the skin to get on the
board and comfortable for the production folks to wear. Turns out the ones
we use were spec'd in '94 so I'm looking into improved, more comfortable,
ones.

Do any of you folks have an experience with liquid gloves (dip & dry)?

Do you mean something like liquid latex? I have some experience with it but
not at work. You'd have confirm thickness for effective chemical/product
protection. I thought that stuff was just for fun.

(Or maybe I should start spraying everyone's hands with Pam? Not!)

Hans

Hey Anne,

Are your operators wearing the proper gloves?

When we first started using Double Treat you could see a hand/finger print
grow on the panel. Hasn't happened in ages thank goodness.

Subject: [TN] Imaging Issues

Good Morning All,

Today, I am tasked with gathering some research info on primary imaging
of double treat multilayer material.

We have experienced some staining and lock on situations in the past and
I am looking for any input from board fabricators with any similar
history.
I understand that some of the newer treatments (Zbz?) have a similar
appearance. Appreciate all info, from TechNet or direct.
