Actually, I always thought 'dum anima est' meant 'he is a dumb animal'. Errare humanum est.

My Latin is becoming somewhat strained, considering that the last time I opened a Latin book was in 1945! 55 years is amply
long enough to have forgotten twice as much as I ever learned.

The last time I touched a Morse key must have been about 1953, in the Army, so that is a little rusty as well. However, I did
fine up until the last word, QREQ????? Believe it or not, I have a Merchant Marine Radio Operators ticket (1950) so I must
have been able to do 25 wpm then: now 0,25 wpm :-) In my mispent youth, I was also a radio ham (some say I still am a ham),
GM3GUC and ZC4BN. Happily, the Morse code is now officially obsolete (as from last year).
