Steve:

We switched to a "New" mainframe MRP system about 5 - 6 years ago from our
homebrew mainframe MRP system. Guess what, the "New" system is made by
....... Yep, Western Data Systems.

About the only two cents worth from me is .....

If management can be open minded and try to adapt your company to an
existing proven software system, I can almost guarantee that the system will
do what it is supposed to do. So, look for software that has most of the
things in it that you're looking for.

On the other hand, if you try and make software do things that you're
already used to by "modifying"or re-writing software code of someone else's
software, then you'll end up with a new system that is just as slow and
cumbersome as the system you already have.

Good luck.
