Hello Ken,

 From my perspective as a 'layout guy' I do the following for boards that
are going to be manufactured in arrays (and large quantities).
I supply the board manufacturer with the design as a 1-up.
I also supply a panellisation drawing, that details the arraying of the
boards into an assembly pallet, 'mouse bite' requirements and assembly /
ICT tooling holes.
To get to this point requires interaction with the board fab shops and
assembly people to satisfy all of their requirements and capabilities.
Sometimes it may be that the board shop can array more than one of these
assembly pallets on their manufacturing panels, and I leave that up to them.
This way, stencilling and wave fixturing is always common.
Small quantities of prototype boards that are unlikely to see volume
production, I wouldn't bother.
