<< Hello again fellow techies,
I have a customer requesting materials which meet MIL-A-81236. The
application
is for the fillet bead at the rigid to flex interface on a rigid-flex PWB.
The
compliant material is "...a two part thermosetting adhesive containing a base
material of the epoxy resin type and a polyamide curing agent." All of the
current adhesives we use in-house are of the two part thermosetting
epoxy/amine
type. This includes Emerson and Cummings Eccobond 45, Stycast, Scotchweld,
and a
few others that slip my mind. While digging through our internal part number
catalogue I came across a material called "Poly-Freeze P119" which apparently
meets this spec.. The problem is that I cannot find this material anywhere.
Has
anyone out there heard of this material, or know of any material that meets
 MIL-A-81236??

 Thanks in advance.

Hi Brian!

Check out these two web sites...they came up when I typed in MIL-A-81236 in
my search engine. They're both adhesive companies that make a wide range of
materials, they may be able to help you out. Abatron lists one epoxy called
Epotron-5 that has a MIL-A-81236 spec in the description, I pasted it below.

Hope this helps!
