Hi Bill!

Welcome. Welcome.

What don't you understand about the on-going discussions?

Just so you get off to the right foot. Tech Net is heavily self-policed
against spam, unsolicited commercial e-mail, to maintain it's
academic/technical/helpful nature. Dire consequences await anyone breaking
that rule. Folks will flame at the drop of a pin on this list. (Please guys
& gals no flaming today. I got nailed on another list last night and the
sunburn is bad enough. Ouch!)

Flaming is typically avoided by using a sig. and ending posts with 'Contact
me off list for more information.' (Just ask Shean Dalton. Shean, ya still
out there? We didn't scare ya off did we?)

The same goes for avoiding attachments, with good reason, we had a virus
sneak onto the list not to long ago.

Having said that, please contribute, ask questions, and search the archive
to get a sense of our community or just lurk.

Again Welcome!

Hans

PS. Does the UK have a Closed University? Anybody can answer that one?
:-)
