Steve,

insisting that safety glasses are worn around the entire factory seems a bit over the
top.  Can't you just use the standard practice of using floor markings (say red
coloured adhesive tape or something) to designate areas where safety glasses must be
worn, and educating the employees about why the glasses are needed in that area?
Sticking up some large signs informing people that glasses must be worn would remind
people what the tape on the floor was for.

It sounds as if the company's insistence on glasses throughout the production area isnt
working anyway, and they are wasting their time in the long term trying to dictate
people into following rules that make no sense to them.

By the way, what is a 'whiney butt' - it sounds like something you do after eating
beans?
