Hi all,

Anyone familiar with a dye that can help indicate the presence of
residual flux? I was just talking with another engineer who mentioned a
material called "Bromthymol Blue" that he used to use. Is it still available
or is there's something better?
The reason I ask is we have these small "Bumped Chip" devices on a
board. Historically there has been a problem with residual flux under these
components, not visible to inspection and averaged out with ROSE test. We
want to destructively remove a few and see how effective the cleaning process
is.

Thanks for your help,

Glenn
