Hi Edwin,
Alloy 42 leadframes, and the resulting low component CTE, together with the
rather non-compliant TSOP leads have costs all of the OEMs lots of
money--only HP had the honesty to publish the experience, however.
HP forced the culprit vendor (in Japan) to switch to Cu leadframes and do
some more customer-friendly engineering.
