Hi Scott!

My preference is v-scoring (with the comment that it has to be done properly
and the correct depth specified for the laminate type and thickness). Nothing
worse than having a panel fall apart on you half-way through the build, or
not being able to singulate each board after building it without a bunch of
force.

The reasons I like scoring is that theres a nice clean edge left on the
boards without the little "nubs" from the "rat-bites" (or the drilled holes
for the perforations of the tabs). Another thing that scoring eliminates, is
that with tabs I've experienced a lot of board damage from people not making
sure they've fractured all the glass fibers by bending in both directions
when breaking away the coupon of a panel. They bend in one direction and the
try to pull the coupon away and wind-up taking a little strip of laminate
with it at the tab area...sometimes ripping up a trace or two. I've never had
that happen with a scored panel.
