Hi Scott,  as i'm sure you realize, one process is not intrinsically better than the
other.
Each has merits based on design application.  Parts that profile with lots of curves
are
good candidates for Tab Routing.  (we might have a great argument over how many holes,
at what diameter, with what spacing, etc.)  For parts that do have some straight sides,

V-Scoring can produce some good economies in time, tools, and material savings.
And at last look, cost reductions are still the un-holy grail, eh?  And these potential
reductions of course,  are primarily influenced by design.
