Yup, you have a career as a consultant.  Can't tell you the number of times I
have bit back the response "what idiot came up with this" and actually said
"I see".

Oh, hell no.  Only use a brush and running tap water if you are cleaning your
kids or your sneakers.  A brush and tap water is an excellent cleaning final
step if the goal is to produce scrap.
