Good question on a panacea formula for sigma calculation. At 800 I came up
with 4.615707 sigma. Yes, I did it the hard way. That was breaking down
the inbetweens and arriving at a PPM and a sigma. I don't even know if
that's legal. arg!
I like Mike McMaster's comment. It may be easier to do this using
measurements from a screw size, weight of something, or some objective
measurement. The numbers all fit rather than using subjective data and PPM.
Now that I have confused everyone including myself. I plan on going home,
eat dinner, and play my bass guitar for a while and ponder these things.
