For what it's worth;

We ran across a similar situation about 2 yrs. ago. The settings of the gerber
data generation from our CAD tool was only 3 decimal places.

We used a fine pitch connector and everything looked fine on our end, but the
CAM station told a different story. Almost every trace was shorting.

We went to 4 decimal places and it looked much better.
