Grant, I don't know that there are any since most MIL/GOVMT specs do not
permit splicing. We did some on an old commercial product centuries ago, by
tinning the end of each wire and holding them together with a special jig,
then lap soldering them together. All splices were 100% inspected by the
biggest nitpicker we could find. They were then covered by heat shrink
sleeving. Every 15th wire splice was pull tested to assure acceptable
strength per the engineering drawing.
