Sorry to plug a company I detest but the new Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer rodents
are FANTASTIC for CAD work. No balls, no rollers, absolute precision when you wish to
put the cursor just there! I'd go so far to say they are better than the prehistoric
Mouse Systems optical mice and they work on almost any surface: use mine on an ordinary
white melamine table top - and it doesn't matter how dirty it is or isn't.
