I have worked in a couple of places that used the shoes instead of straps.
The company provided one pair per year (up to $100 limit on that pair). I
still have four pair in good condition and passing the standard tester used
for heel straps every time that I wear them, even after being over 4 years
old. I have one pair of regular tennies, one pair of steel-toed tennies ,
one pair of black wing tip dress shoes, and one pair hiking boot style. All
are very comfortable, even after a full day of walking.
