Seriously, I think where 0,0 is from an assembly standpoint depends alot on
your processing software and the equipment your using.  We generally set it
at one of our fiducials.  Probably depends on the software, but ours allows
moving it easily.

Hi Donna!

I'd like to echo Ahne's guidelines too...from an assemblers perspective.
Sometimes, if we ask real nice, we'll get a file of the X/Y centroids for
the
SMT components in with the Gerbers, and it makes things real easy to
generate
the pick and place program if zero-zero is at either the lower left or lower
right of the board. If we get real lucky, all the theta rotations in the
X/Y
file for the parts will match our machines too...and if we get REALLY lucky,
each X/Y will have the part number, reference designator, and package type
too! But I know sometimes that's asking a lot...hehehe.
