Hi,
We are using portable instruments made by Caviderm and by CMI.Both of them
are limited by holes diameter ( 0.76 mm for Caviderm , 0.9 mm for CMI ) ,
board thickness ( max 2.4 , min. 1.0 mm) .The measurement is an average
without indication of minimum.
Most our boards are with 0.25 - 0.30 mm drilled vias , thickness from 0.1 to
6 mm , point of interest is mainly minimum thickness of plated copper since
average in high aspect ratio is rather meaningless.
Of course it is desirable to have possibility to take such measure on plated
boards before etching.
What kind of instruments are available and what is practical field
exerience?
