Hello Folks:
In IPC-A-610, Section 10.2.7 titled "J Leads", special
dispensation is granted to permit the absence of side
fillets by design as for leads made from "preplated"
material. We are currently using a thru-hole part with
leads made from preplated material so the wetting on
the cut edges is questionable.
Are there any std's or guidlines for these types of
thru-hole joints ? What would be the acceptance
criteria ?
Thanks,
