Sorry if this is not "technical stuff" but I thought this might be of some
value to people who use this service and would like to be able to use it or
others like it at home.

If you've ever thought about adding a second phone line so you could hop on
the internet, or being able to dial up your office or add a fax at home, (or
even get your kid a separate phone) without having to tie up your main line,
but didn't want to pay the expensive ($100+) service fee, there was an ad in
the paper for an illustrated guide detailing how to adding a second line
yourself.

Adding a second line is easy, requires only a screwdriver and maybe a pair
of wire cutters, and takes less than an hour. There is no punching holes in
walls or running new wire through cielings or into attics. This saves you
the high installation fee, allows you to install as many extensions as you
wish, (at no extra charge), and gets you online quickly, among other
benefits. When you've made the necessary changes, a call to the phone
company gets the tech to turn the line on, and after you've paid for
activation (about $30), you're set.

The address is CYBERNETIkS, PO Box 5294 Suite 100, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.
For more info, there was a phone number listed, 847 604 2232.
Sending a certified check or money order for $15.00 to that address got you
the guide, which would show you how to make the necessary changes to your
existing wiring for a second phone line.

Again, this may not be "tech stuff", but it might help people who are INTO
the "tech stuff"..
