Do not be so appologetic! There are many online who quietly enjoy a bit of
levity, and there are also those few vocal, dry, humorless denizens of the
internet that are aghast at the notion that anyone should try to project a
bit of light hearted fun into their day. Perhaps any such future messages
should contain a warning that humor is contained and should only be opened by
those possessing the ability to appreciate it. This would provide those who
object with the capacity to immediately delete the message before they endure
the remote possibility of a smile reaching their face. The vast majority of
intellegent and creative engineers I know have great senses of humor and I
believe that this is one element that gives them their advantage at work. We
must not take ourselves too seriously, life is too short.
