Hi Eric!

Mike sure pointed out something that I kinda' overlooked...(BOY! Is my face
red!) I can tend to get off-track once inna while...hehehe...'scuse me there.
Anyhoo, I'm assuming you have web access, go to the ol' dogpile
(http://www.dogpile.com) and type in: "wave soldering process" at the "Fetch"
box, and you'll get more hits than ya' know what to do with.

Mike is right though, the people that sold you your machine should have some
sorta' courses or training that will get ya' started, and there's all the
trade seminars he listed as well. He certainly is right in the more ya' know,
the less you know...I think everybody learns something new about the process
everyday...the boards are changing so much that when you finally get
comfortable waving one type of board, another one will come along with a new
twist to everything that will cause you to go back to the drawing board and
rethink things again.

But the basics as you probably know, 1. To apply flux, 2. Activate the flux
with some preheat, and heat-up everything to minimize the thermal shock, and
3. Pass the whole kit and kaboodle over the wave wetting all the surfaces
you've intended to solder. There's a bunch of ways to go about that, much
more than what can be contained in one email....a lot of it will depend on
what kind of equipment you have. Sorry I got up on such a soapbox
earlier...too much suger in my coffee that day I guess...hehehe.
