Hi again ya'll!

Well I just talked with a gentleman named Carl at Cal Water (a competitor of
U.S. Filter Oops! I blurted it out...oh well, too late now! hehehe) and what
I was told is partially right to a very small degree...

Carl said that chlorine will degrade the resins if it is in high enough
levels. For instance when there's a earthquake in Southern California and
there's been some broken water mains and the like, the water companies will
add quite a bit of chlorine to keep things from growing in the water...and
then it MIGHT be necessary for a carbon bed. He said normally most places
don't need it...

Hmmmm, $400 a month for 2-years...nice chunk o' change...
