Address,
Due to etch factors it is not always advantageous to have cores with
2/1oz copper core. Our design does allow for use of 1/1oz copper.
Assuming a horizontal etcher (or any etcher, verticle included), how
successful are many of you in etching an unbalanced core of 2/1oz?
Are your starts 5 to 10% more than a typical 1/1oz or .5/.5oz copper?
Other than normal corrections (i.e. balance copper planes, oscillating
spray bars, clean nozzles, cone footprints, etc, etc) what other
variables should I be looking at or compensating for?
NOTE: This is an eight layer foil, with three cores; 2 - 2/1oz
and 1 - 1/1 oz, signal/plane receipe.
Please advise. Thank you.
John Gulley
