     Mike-

SMT magazine, March 1996 issue, has a 4 page article on PCMCIA
assembly. It's written by Paul A. Ayllon of Celestica Inc., whom I
believe have fairly extensive PC Card assembly experience.

According to the article, "Hot bar technology was also tried and
ultimately adopted." The phone number given at the end of the article
     is (416)448-5023, North York, Ontario.

Greeting to all!

We are currently evaluating hot bar equipment for mult-pin Surface Mount
connector (PCMCIA type). I am interested in inputs on application, potential
vendors, equipment capabilities, and other specifications required to
consider for Hot Bar soldering (speed, accuracy, thermal profile, etc.).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions q : - )
