Same thing. A supported hole is a plated through hole.
Strict IPC-T-50 definition is, 'A hole in a printed board that has its
inside surfaces plated or otherwise reinforced.'
So, I suppose that would apply also to non plated holes fitted with eyelets
as well, although that would not be the most common understanding.
