Hi Terry! There are going to be a number of Pbfree focused tutorial
sessions at the upcoming IPC APEX show in February in Anaheim. Some of the
tutorials are very data/functional and others are more of an overview of
the entire issue (Doug Pauls and I are giving a tutorial that covers the
material and manufacturing aspects of the Pbfree insanity). I recommend you
look over the APEX conference brochure to find potential tutorials that fit
your needs. You can ask the TechNet/LeadfreeNet community (off-line
responses so avoid commercialism) for recommendations of which of the many
courses available they felt have assisted them. Good Luck.

Can anyone recommend a training seminar which would cover all the issues
a PCB Designer would need to be fluent with
to design PCB's meeting RoHS compliance? I can't see one being longer
than 2 days. I don't want to go to seminars where they
give you a history of why we are now approaching RoHS.

I need something functional & not just a "money-grab".

For example, I already know that I need to specify a higher Tg FR-4
material. I am looking for coverage also in NOTES to be
included on both the Assembly & Fabrication Drawings.

Ideally, if any person has taken one they would highly recommend and
why, that would be the best, as referrals are the best
Form of advertising & promotion.

I already subscribe to both TechNet & LeadFree forums, but will peruse
the archives of the LeadFree forum.

Any info, leads, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Terry (TDK)
