Joy,
I would suggest that you review IPC-2221 and understand what the test coupons are for/
what they do/ and decide which ones you care about.

However, Our group no longer puts coupons into our board designs.  There is a very
small amount of design information that is needed to allow your PWB suppliers to make
the Coupons themselves.  We put this info in a drawing note.

Since we look at all of our coupons/cross section, and our suppliers know it, our
suppliers were spending more time checking our old coupons than it would have taken
them to design them themselves.
Doing it this way saves us time, and saves them time.  This was particularly true when
we had a disagreement.   Do the suppliers make goofs? Sure they do.  So did we.  At
least now you don't have to blame yourself....
