I have come across a problem with the accuracy of a temperature
sensor I am using in one of my designs. I wonder if anyone has
any experience of this or can explain it or offer any helpful
suggestions.

The problem is with the Dallas DS1624 temperature sensor IC. It
is specified to 0.5C accuracy but I find that errors of 1.5C are
common with some reading as far as 4C low at approx 40C.

I have heard that this is due to moisture ingress into the IC
package and that I should bake the chips to dry them out. Has
anyone had any success with this and how did you do it?

Has anyone else got this problem?

any help much appreciated.
