        It also occurs to me that besides excessive heat for too long of
time, it could also be done by acid fumes that are blowing across the
parts.

Hi Antonio,

Did the components fail in any other way other than the discoloration?
From the picture it appears as though some of the leads saw excessive
heat (i.e.
they look like they have partially burnt to me).  What were the
environmental conditions prior to this inspection?  Was any biasing
applied to the components? How many of these components exhibited this
problem?
Have you switched vendors or processes with respect to these components?
