There are numerous parts that have low thermal sensitivity - even at the
short durations experienced in Wave and reflow soldering. Occassionally
SOT-23s show up but generally speaking, these components are robust.
Perhaps you can at least get a max. temp. spec. out of H-P. Don't waste your
time with the salesman or distributor. Go to someone in Applications or
Product Management for that group.
One key question - just how high a temp is the component seeing? Have you
attached at thermo-couple to the part and profiled it?
